Special Voyage: Cruise Tasmania’s Rugged Southern Coastline
Hobart to Port Davey
For the first time, we are offering guests the opportunity to join us in delivering our vessel to Tasmania’s remote Southwest wilderness at the beginning of our Port Davey season. Join us on a three-night, four-day charter from Hobart’s waterfront into Bathurst Harbour, Port Davey, exploring the picturesque Southeast coast along the way.
This southern corner of Tasmania holds a maze of hidden bays, private beaches, rugged landscapes, and cool, crystal clear waters. From Recherche Bay, a quiet, idyllic bay in the far south of Tasmania (famous for being the first landing place of French explorer Bruny D’Entrecasteaux) to the stunning Bruny Island, there are countless swimming and surf beaches, good ocean and freshwater fishing and beautiful walking tracks. You may wish to experience challenging walks, such as Butlers Beach to Lighthouse Bay Beach, or simply enjoy views of the various coastal towns and rugged landscapes aboard the boat from afar. In true Tasmanian style, your itinerary will be guided by the weather. Working with the weather, our crew will use their extensive knowledge of Tasmania’s southern landscapes and rich history to form your perfect adventure.
At the conclusion of your experience, you will be flown from Melaleuca via small aircraft for a scenic flight over the sea cliffs back to Hobart. This opportunity only presents itself only once per season, giving guests the rare opportunity to experience the Southern coast of Tasmania in ways only dreamed of by others. Get off the beaten track and become immersed in the uninhabited, pristine wilderness.
