James Turrell, a world famous American artist, visited Tasmania in August and was keen to visit the most southern cape of Australia. The “Odalisque” was charted by the Moorilla Vineyard. (where James was visiting their Museum of Old and New Art “MONA”). At 8.30am on Friday 20th James, David Walsh, Steve Devereuax and four other colleagues including Vince the Chef were collected at the Moorilla Jetty and 3 hours later they were at South East Cape on the south coast of Tasmania. Despite the gale and 7 meter swell warnings the trip was uneventful and thoroughly enjoyed by all and finished off with an elegant lunch at Recherche Bay which included a meal of fresh bbq abalone.
